Fighting for Justice: A Desperate Survival Against Corrupt Banks

Our Story

My name is Dr. Pascal Rassi, MD, and alongside my wife, Valérie – a dedicated OR, ER, and ICU nurse– we’ve been fighting a desperate battle for survival against Lebanon’s powerful and corrupt banking mafia.

"When mafia is in power": Lebanon's regime.

These institutions have destroyed our lives, leaving us homeless, penniless, and under constant threat of violence. In November 2023, the police ransacked our home under orders from these same banks, leaving us on the streets without our belongings, legal papers, or hope.

They used a chainsaw to raid and violate our home!!

We resisted for hours.

This is what's left of our poor home after they were done torturing me...

They killed this adorable angora rescue cat, gratuitously. Bragged about running her over. The 4 others (all house cats) ran away in panic and got lost in the wild.

You can hear the cats in panic while they try to smash the hastily barricaded door:

We miraculously repelled those cowards the first time:

We’ve endured multiple assaults that left me with permanent injuries to both hands, death threats, and arbitrary arrests – all for daring to demand justice for what was stolen from us.

Police + Army = their private militia.

They also have armed mercenary thugs. Paid with our stolen lifesavings.

This nightmare has deeply impacted our health. I suffer from fibromyalgia and severe stress-related conditions, and my wife has remained steadfast through every ordeal, despite facing immense challenges herself.

Our first arrest.

Yet, despite it all, we refuse to give up.

We tried in vain to file documented criminal lawsuits with damning evidence against their enforcers for assault and injury, death threats, and multiple attempted murder.

Their bosses, the Kassar familia, chiefs of BLC/Fransabank group. Sued by us for their countless crimes. "Protected". Untouchable.

First assault, by their house gards, when I politely demanded an appointment. Tried to trample and strangle me, broke my hand, took my house keys and legal papers. Then armed killers came, WHILE THE POLICE JUST STOOD THERE.

Second equally savage assault, on a crowded street. None were never arrested. But we were, many times.

Two extreme hunger strikes to fight for my freedom back.

Third time, we fought back. See how they stole the filming lady's phone, because image evidence is their nightmare. Again, a horde of thugs nearly massacred us minutes later, the present police turned a blind eye, and the French Consulate refuses to protect us!!!

4 times we attempted to raid our bank for our money. This is actually permitted in Lebanon, under article #184 of the Penal Code: legitimate self-defense.
Each time we got betrayed and a police ambush was waiting for us. THEY KNEW. Their dirty money buys many weak consciences. Even our lawyers have betrayed us today, detaining all our files and evidence, and effectively blocking all our procedures against the banks. We're completely alone.

Only truly efficient way remaining is foreign courts.

The Bigger Picture

The corruption in Lebanon is systemic, deeply rooted in alliances between politicians, judges, and the media with the banking mafia. These institutions have embezzled over $1 trillion, plunging countless families into poverty while smuggling and laundering stolen funds abroad.

That chief enforcer, calling his boss "President of Lebanon", is protected by the country's most powerful politician, who sicced the Military Tribunal on us, as with all bothersome activists.

Nadim Kassar, "generous benefactor" towards his good friend the Army's commander in chief, now the President ($7 million that day)

Leaked evidence from a Lebanon police investigation, later politically blocked "from above", directly and irrefutably linking my banker to a double assassination attempt against our lawyer.

Our (now former) Prime Minister is the country's biggest banker, and makes laws to his fancy.

Channel4 british documentary about us:

This isn’t just a Lebanese problem. These same corrupt bankers operate branches and maintain connections in the US, UK, France, and beyond. Their success here could set a dangerous precedent for similar injustices worldwide.

The anger of Lebanon banks depositors : "I am no beggar!"

Our fight is not just for our survival—it’s a fight for global justice and accountability. Everyone's at risk.

How You Can Help

We urgently need your support to:

- Cover medical treatments and basic survival needs: food, shelter...

- File international lawsuits, where justice is still achievable.

ALL lawsuits in Lebanon against the banks are hopeless. We tried everything.

- Relocate to safety, where we can continue this fight.

Our Goals

[Click here to donate: https://www.gofundme.com/f/lebanon-at-war-we-are-dying-need-urgent-help]

Your contributions will help us reach these milestones:

- €30,000: Provide emergency shelter, food, urgent medical care, and legal filing fees.

- €60,000: Launch a full trial against the corrupt institutions that harmed us.

- €120,000: Help us safely relocate and rebuild our lives while continuing our legal battle.

Your donations will not only enable us to survive but also pave the way for a legal precedent that could aid millions of others enduring similar oppression. Together, we can expose and stop these criminals before they extend their reach globally.

Telling it like it is to their faces:

Challenging the banker at his own house. Almost got gunned down by his full squad of mercenaries that day.

---

Why Now?

The world may believe Lebanon’s war is over, but the regime’s war against its own people is far from finished. They continue to violate international laws and treaties while exploiting their citizens.

Without urgent assistance, these corrupt forces will succeed in silencing us forever.

Support Our Cause

We have documented our fight extensively through video evidence of assaults and media coverage by outlets like Channel 4, Arte, and others.

German Arte documentary about us, captions available:

Folk hero and retired policeman Ali Sahili is a personal friend and comrade in our fight.

Your support will not only amplify our voices but also ensure that justice prevails.
